In celebration of World Penguin Day! Emperor penguins are unique among penguins. Their breeding season begins in the Southern autumn (April), when the sea ice is strong enough for the colony to assemble. When the female lays her egg she passes it to her mate and leaves to feed on her own. She will remain at sea, foraging for food, until spring. The female will return in July, often to find a newly hatched chick. #nikonNoFilter #NikonEurope #nikon #lpstorytellers #lowepro #loweprobags #cangeotravel #cangeo #sharecangeo #gitzoinspires #frametheextraordinary #Framedongitzo @gitzoinspires @nikon @lowepro #conservation #explore #exploretheworld #wildplanet #nature #gratitude #penguin #penguinday #emperorpenguin #natgeo #EarthCapture #BBCEarth #natgeowild #EarthonLocation #yourshotphotographer #ourplanetdaily #fantastic_earth #roamtheplanet

In Celebration of Polar bear week Oct. 30 Nov. 5 Friday, November 4: Sign our petition asking for a fair price on carbon, and share the link with your network. This will help speed up the transition to a renewable future, saving the sea ice that polar bears depend on. http://salsa4.salsalabs.com/o/51114/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=15425&okay=true&_ga=1.212087060.167152921.1477891405 #conservation #polar #polar_bears #canada #polarbearweek #canadaparks #canadawildlife #canadawild #explorecanada #manitoba #exploremanitoba #parkscanada #naturphotography #wildlifephotography #instanaturelover #bear #polarbear #arctic #canadacreatives #polar #wild #wildlifeplanet #wildlifeaddicts #nikon #natgeowild #natgeo #lowepro #Imagesofcanada #ExploreCanada #saveourseaice

Photo by @daisygilardini Mother polar bears in the Hudson Bay region exit their maternity dens with their newborn cubs in February March. Once cubs leave the warmth of the den, they have to face frigid temperatures that can drop to -50C° with wind chill. Mother bears are particularly attentive and caring for the little ones while heading to Hudson Bay to hunt seals. They often stop to nurse and rest. In the event of a storm, they dig small “day dens” in snowdrifts to shelter their cubs from the elements. #bear #polarbear #wapusknationalPark #manitoba #canada #wildlifephotography #nikon #lowepro #loweprobags #gitzoinspires #frametheextraordinary #framedongitzo @gitzoinspires #eizousa #visualizeoneizo #sandisk #westerndigital

"This was heaven to me. As I’d stand back and watch the wildlife to their thing, some of these elephant seal pups would scoot all the way over to us and just look up with their precious eyes. The pups were nursing so they wanted attention and all the love. It’s important to give them space (15 meters) and a path for them. That in mind I just stayed still in a good area as this one approached and we had a little moment of curiosity with each other. Seconds later it went back to the group and having fun. Little moments like these in life just get me. Unreal experience." 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Be Visually Inspired! _______________________________________________ The arctic fox breeds in dens and in order to estimate abundance and breeding success we must know how many dens are occupied by arctic foxes and the number of pups in the each active den. Earlier, in order to count the puppies, the researcher was waiting with binoculars in the shelter, now we leave automatic cams near the hole. Photo: @fufachew
